Position Overview
As a Principal Product Architect under the CApS Team, you will have the opportunity to be part of the DISW (Digital Industry Software) practice. Contributing to delivering and/or supporting the designed solution for our global customer’s needs.
As part of the Professional Services Team, you will work with other key team member´s, e.g., Consultant´s, Solution Architect´s, Project Manager´s, Engagement and Delivery Manager´s, Industry Experts and Product Development along with the Solution Team driving CX.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to lead the Global Project CApS Team ensuring proactive communication occurs with both internal and external key members developing and managing minor and/or major software technical enhancement (e.g., implementation/installation, configuration, development, testing, deployment, production support, post-production support) along with escalations. Provide technical, business, consulting, and product expertise to customers and advise on a comprehensive solution.
- Work as a Principal Product Architect leading the Global Project Team for support, implementation and/or deployments. Work directly with customers to understand application and cloud architectural requirements, which include functional, security, integration, and performance user(s) journeys.
- Guiding the development team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Build, coach, mentor, and lead a team of implementation engineers and architects to create architecture solution and platform implementations for new and existing customers.
- Set the tone by fostering teamwork, conveying the client vision, and ensuring the team is adhering to best practices. Utilize design thinking methodologies and processes to facilitate development of solution design and architecture.
- Promote architectural and development industry best practices. Provide input to project implementation plans by working with project managers to develop resource plans and optimize resource(s).
- Work directly with the services engineering team in your region to mature, revise and implement this work, showing technical leadership and architecture vision in your decisions.
- Identify software solutions, design technical architectures for complex solutions, solve technical issues, identify risk, assumptions and mitigation strategies associated with distinct elements of the architecture designed, responsible for technologies choice and decisions making. Assist in troubleshooting major issues encountered with the implementations and/or deployments.
- Update software solutions as required and write architectural documentation. Contribute and support the documentation of standards, processes, and policies related to deployment of technical solutions.
- Actively maintain your core knowledge on the latest technical and industry trends, transfer knowledge into innovative solution practices and best practices with your team members.
Requirements:
As a Siemens Principal Product Architect, you are a key resource driving and implementing software solutions while building strong relationships with both project teams and customers, helping them throughout their software transformation journey. This position requires excellent skills in interpersonal communications, process improvement, and software configuration.
- Prior working experience in engineering and manufacturing industries is an added advantage. *
- Experience in IT Service Management delivery and support activities. *
- Exposure to PLM domain, Product Development process would be an added advantage. *
- Experience and knowledge in PLM/ALM (Teamcenter/Polarion) products a plus
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies: SAFe, Scrum. *
- Availability to support on weekend coverage, support on local holidays if require, rotate shift(s) and on-demand call(s).
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, work with small teams and be a great team player.
- Business and Engineering fluency in English.
- Requires 8+ years in Software Engineering and delivery, preferably in an external client-facing implementation role, utilizing various SDLC methodologies.
- Requires 8+ years of experience in design and solution of complex enterprise applications.
- 4+ years agile SDLC experience: XP, scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
- Experience in delivering horizontally scaled solutions on public cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS)
- Familiarity with Low-code / No-code platform engineering, SaaS workflows and platform engineering, BPM Solutions
- Architecture / Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Architect, TOGAF, ZACHMAN) is strongly desired.
- Considerable experience with digital content management, ECM, DAM, CSP, WCM, LMS, etc.
- Proficiency in following programming languages and processes would be an advantage:
- Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure (SaaS).
- Intermediate Unix knowledge (shell, bash).
- Programming language experience desirable.
- Data base experience desirable.
- Windows Server, Unix/Linux, Virtualization.
- ITIL Certified, SLA/SLO, ServiceNow, Data Dog, Jira, Git, SVN version control.
- Cloud Server Management (AWS).
- Python
- .NET /C#
- Java(especially OSGI or Spring/Spring boot).
- NodeJS.
- REST APIs(Application Program Interface).
- JSON 7 XML / CSS / HTML5.
- JavaScript (especially Google Polymer or vue.js).
- Strong technical background and understanding of enterprise solutions including networking, storage, hardware, and software layers.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies and solutions – GCP, AWS, Azure
- Understanding of Machine Learning and AI techniques, including usage of cognitive services and open-source models.
- Experience with packaging and deploying software for the cloud (docker containers / k8s)
- Experience with Identity Providers (IDPs) with SAML and oAuth2 based integrations
- Understanding of digital content management such as ECM, DAM, CSP, WCM, LMS systems
- Relevant industry experience in one or more of these industries:
- Consumer Products
- Financial services, insurance, or fintech
- Life sciences, pharma, or healthcare
- Entertainment, media, and marketing
- Resource Extraction
- Public Sector
- Practical experience with one or more content management platforms: En-Vision, Alfresco, OnBase, Documentum, FileNet, Content Manager, Content Manager on Demand, Nuxeo, Box, AEM, Oracle UCM, SharePoint, etc.
- Experience with one or more NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Couch, Cassandra, Document DB, Dynamo, Cosmos DB, HBase, etc.
- Ability to assist in the creation of conceptual, presentation, and technical drawings for all phases of the project
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and design.
