We are in search of a seasoned Senior SQL Developer with a background in business analysis, encompassing 5 to 7 years of comprehensive experience. This role demands proficiency in SQL development, alongside a keen understanding of business processes and requirements gathering. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, adeptness in Azure DevOps, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and business needs. You’ll Have The Opportunity To

Database Development and Optimization:

• Design, implement, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to meet business requirements.
• Employ advanced techniques for database performance tuning and query optimization to enhance system efficiency.
• Uphold data integrity and security standards, implementing best practices for data governance.

Business Analysis

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and user stories.
• Utilize business analysis techniques to model processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend data-driven solutions.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.

Azure DevOps Integration

• Leverage Azure DevOps tools for version control, continuous integration, and deployment of database changes.
• Work collaboratively with DevOps teams to automate database deployment processes and streamline workflows.
• Ensure seamless integration of database solutions within the Azure DevOps environment, adhering to established practices and standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Engage with software developers, system architects, and QA engineers to understand system requirements and facilitate integration efforts.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Communication And Reporting

• Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring comprehension and buy-in.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, status updates, and documentation to project stakeholders and management.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-training activities to enhance team capabilities and promote continuous learning.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer, with a solid understanding of database development and optimization.
• Proven track record in business analysis, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution design.
• Proficiency in SQL programming languages (e.g., T-SQL), with expertise in writing complex queries and stored procedures.
• Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling concepts, and relational database management systems.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms, including version control and deployment automation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences effectively.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Familiarity with JSON structure.
• Knowledge of NoSQL Database is an asset.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in agile development teams.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI) for reporting and analytics.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and related database services.
